This is the equipment I use, nothing fancy:
2 gold pans (one regular, one super sluice, both have their advantages.)
3 classifiers, one with a large mesh, one with 1/4" mesh (home made) and one with fine screen wire. (I made it too.)
Sluice box in the very back
Bail scoops to scoop sand and such out of my buckets on to the sluice box, they are just right. It does not "choke" the box in slower running water.
Two shovels, one for regular shoveling. A smaller one for tight places.
A small mattock, useful for roots and hard dirt. (and climbing steep banks!)
Rubber boots
The large silver pan is my pan I use to pan my concentrates into.
And a brush axe, hardly ever use it. BUT when it is needed it is MUST have item!!
5 gallon buckets!! You can't have enough! Use them to take to the field, carry concentrates home in and store them in. Use them as a seat….the use for them are endless in prospecting!
Two baby food jars, for garnets and other such items.
